"I gave this to my daughter for Mother's Day. She has three darling daughters, age 6, almost 5, and 3 and they squeeled with delight when the pots and seeds came out of the box. They are moving into a new home in about 3 weeks, with a big back yard. They will have so much fun planting and watching the flowers grow in the containers, and then to transplant if they want to!"

"I purchased this gift for Mother's Day for my mother-in- law and she loved it. Although she is the best mother-in-law ever she is extrmenly hard to shop for because she has everything. "Got this gardening set asa birthday gift last year.Its simply amazing. The seeds come in labelled sachets with perfect instructions. The quality of the soil is great. Planted a couple of them last summer, and they bloomed beautifully. There are enough seeds to last a few seasons. I have already planted mine this year and they are 4-inch saplings already.Definitely a great gift for someone you love"

"This was described as a "windowsill garden year-round". However, unless you are a dedicated gardener and familiar with the different varieties, there was no help included as to when was the best time to plant each of these seeds. I don't know a lot about plants, but I know enough to realize that there are prime times to plant each variety, and I feel this recommendation should have been included in the box. The pots and packets were quite decorative, and the peat mixture was easy to use. If I had had a bit more instruction, I would recommend this product to anyone."

"My sister and I bought this gift as a Christmas present to our mom and she loved it! I can't speak as to whether or not the flowers are actually going to grow, but the kit comes with everything included and seems pretty straight-forward. The containers are really great colors and high quality - if the flowers grow as expected I would totally recommend this to a friend."

So Glad I Found This I was looking for something for my good friend, whose mother just passed away. Flowers, or a plant would have been nice, but I wanted something more personal. The Year of Seeds was perfect. Her mother loved to plant and the day before she died, my friend took her outside in the garden to do some planting. My friend loved this--it's a great way to have fond memories of her mom each month she plants the seeds. I haven't seen the red box, since it was delivered to her home, but she said it was beautiful. I'm glad I added it to the purchase.
