The family tree is an ancient analogy for the branching lineage of a family's history. We've combined the tree tradition with that of birthstones, which for centuries have been emblematic of individual birth months and the unique personality traits that accompany each. Exclusively from RedEnvelope.

  • finely detailed branch brooch may be set with up to five birthstones, one for each child, grandchild or family member

"This is the perfect gift for a mother/grandmother except that it should allow for more birthstones. My sister and I have 3 children each but the brooch ad states it only offers 5 stones although the actual order site only allows up to 4...most grandmothers will have several grandchildren...The manufacturers should offer more stone options..."

"My sister's and I got this for my mom for Christmas. It was lovely and very nice looking. Just the right size and the birthstones looked great. "I bought this gift for my wife, mother of two. She was pleasantly surprised I would buy a brooch, but loved the birthstones for all of our family. It was a perfect gift at a time when we have been focused on getting gifts for the children. I was nervous she wouldn't love it, but she did. It looks very delicate, but is actually sturdy. The clasp is a bit tiny, but works fine."

"This is a lovely family pin. It will be cherished for a long time. The stones were attached in order that I indicated. It was delivered right on schedule. The only thing that I could have hoped for was that the July stone,rubalite, would have been more of a red color instead of pink. I wasn't going to pay an extra $560 for two 3mm rubies."
