Wish the seam was better January 15, 2013
"I like this nutcracker although I haven't actually tried it out to see if it will crack a nut. The only negative is that the seam that runs down the center of the squirrel's body and face is not even. Had that been glued and put together better, I would've given it 5 stars. Cute though"

"Although very cute, this little squirrel cannot crack it. It work only on good-sized walnuts. Any small or irregular nuts (filberts, almonds or Brazil nuts) just slip around and the squirrel can't get a grip on them. I must say though, returning it was a very pleasant and easy process. Thank you."

"I got this for my husband at Christmas. He loves it! He eats walnuts & pecans all the time. The squirrel looks so much better on my island then the nut crackers did. And according to my husband works a whole lot better than the regular nut crackers."

"This is an adorable, heavyweight, and nice sculptural piece. However, it does not perform very well as a nutcracker, which is rather unfortunate. I would not recommend this product if you actually want it to function as a nutcracker."

"The two sides of the mold this squirrel was made of visibly do not meet, leaving a line down the middle of the figure. It feels hollow in the middle and I hope this will not make it too brittle; only time will tell. It is cute, though."

"This nutcracker is adorable, and made of heavy-duty cast iron, but it does not crack nuts, other than a perfect sized walnut. There is a small divet that the smaller nuts slip into and slide away from the "paws" which are intended to crack the nut. So, while a great novelty and attractive piece, I would not recommend for its intended purpose."
