"I usually love the quality from Red Envelope but this did not meet the normal standard. The mugs were much smaller than I expected, but that was probably my fault for not reading carefully on the size. But the custom imprinting was crooked on some and was just not as high quality as I expected. I will say though my dad did love them, I just think after so many years of amazing products this did not measure up."

"This was my first time ordering from Red Envelope. The mugs look bigger in the picture, and the fluid ounce size is not in the description. Although they were cute, they are too small to hold a full bottle of 12 oz beer. So, if size doesn't matter, these are okay. We won't use them, just display them."

***CAUTION - WILL NOT HOLD A 12 OZ BEER!!!!*** January 07, 2012
"This is not a functional beer mug by any stretch. If you read the detailed description, at the bottom it states the beer mug holds just 12.5 oz - the reality is it OVERFLOWS with 12 oz of water, nevermind the fact that a poured beer has about a 1 inch head on it. The mug actually holds about 9 oz of "beer". If you are pouring a normal 12 oz beer, you either drink the rest of the beer out of the bottle, or hand a guest the mug and a partially filled botlle. Who would guess a beer mug wouldn't hold a standard 12 oz beer???? Someone from RE managing this product line should have the supplier replace the 12 oz mug with a 16 oz mug, or larger! Quality of the mug is great, it's just too small!"

"The beer mugs arrived quickly and safely. The design looks nice, however it is crooked on three of the glasses. The mugs are definitely not 12.5 ounces-wouldn't even hold an entire can of beer. The person receiving them was decently happy with them though. I think that they are priced higher than what they are worth, but it is a unique idea and product."

"We really liked the way the glasses turned out - despite the fact that the personalization entry box is confusing. Make sure to add an apostrophe "s" to the end of the name if you want it on there. "I purchased two sets for my husband and friend that have started brewing beer for fun. They are smaller then expected and when received, it said established in 2012 when I know I typed 2011. When checking into it, i noticed it automatically places 2012 and can only think I must have screwed up although I remember typing 2011. Anyway....I am now stuck with two sets with the wrong date as Christmas gifts so please be careful."

Two failed attempts November 28, 2011
"I bought these for my husband for our anniversary. On the first attempt the 'tavern' design was faded and letters were hard to read, as the previous rater described. I called customer service and they gladly offered to try again, this time with the beer glasses. The second attempt did turn out better (though not quite to my original expectations). BUT, I ran them through the dishwasher a few times (the description said dishwasher safe) without the dry cycle and they came out ruined. Again, customer service was really nice and let me get a full refund. But I would not recommend this product. Very poor quality."

"Ugh. These mugs just arrived today and they are not as advertised. The color is not the lovely blue as shown in the catalog and on the website, it is much less vibrant and almost faded. The quality of the personalization is poor, it looks cheap, and is something I am hesitant to give as a Christmas gift as planned."
