"I purchased a Fiddle Ring for my wife as a Christmas gift. It arrived as ordered, and I had no issues with the personalization. The finish on the ring is bright and shiny, and the ring appears very nice at first, although seeming a bit flimsy.
My wife didn't wear the ring continuously, as she did not want to tarnish the ring any quicker than it might over the course of its lifetime.
However, what we discovered was that the outer ring, the part that spins, wasn't a solid ring - rather, it had a disconnected gap. I cannot be certain if this gap was present from the outset. However, I assume it was, and the reason for it was to allow the spinning action as the wearer "fiddled."
After just two months of sporatic wear, the outer ring had become so loose that it would slip right off the inner ring. And a sure as you like, the outer ring disappeared one night while we were out at dinner. She now owns a Fiddle-less Ring."
