"I bought this kit for my boyfriend as a Valentines Day gift and he loved it! We made an evening of drinking some good beer and brewing. The kit was simple and straightforward, everything worked as advertised and last week we tried our beer for the first time, it turned out great! He compared it to Sierra Nevada...highly recommended."

Not great instructions, parts arrived broken March 10, 2013
"I purchased this kit for my boyfriend this Christmas since he's always wanted to try brewing. The aerator arrived broken in the package. Red Envelope nicely replaced it, but then the replacement cracked in the brewing process. The clamp didn't clamp properly so we couldn't siphon the beer from the glass fermenter. I had high expectations that were poorly let down."

"Got this for my husband for his birthday, he was excited to use it, but when we opened it, the kit was missing two pieces (the hose clamp and air block). Not sure how to proceed without these items, therefore it is kind of useless."

"I bought this as gift for my dad and he LOVED it!! He's never made his own beer before but he is very handy in the kitchen!! It arrived exactly on time and the packaging was very nice as well. "Bought this kit for my husband who likes to drink a beer once in a while. Unfortunately it did not come out like a beer or taste like one. Items in kits were simple, I think it takes more than that to succeed and make a tasty beer. Because of that I will not recommand it."

"Bought this for my brother's 21st bday. He loved it and started brewing his beer as soon as he opened it the package. He is already looking into bigger brewing sets, and creating different flavors of beer. Beer takes about 2wks to brew. The box that the brewing kit came in had a vintage Americana look and is nice enough to not have to wrap. Think of this gift as a science project for adults :)"
