"I purchased this for my mom for mother's day. I would say the picture of this product is quite accurate - the white cake stand with the block print. My mom absolutely loves it. There is some confusion on the care, although I always assumed she would hand wash it anyway: the insert in the box says it's dishwasher safe, however the sticker attached to the bottom of the actual cake stand says it's hand wash only."

"Bought this as a Mother's Day gift. At first, I thought the stand was not engraved. After looking more carefully, I found it, but it is hardly visible. The catalog image is definitely enhanced. Certainly takes away from the point of the gift if the engraving cannot be seen."

"I bought this gift for Mother's Day. For both my mom & my boyfriends mom. They are both bakers. This gift is perfect for bakers. It's not too much. It's classy. The engraving is very simple. It does blend in a lot with the stand but that's what keeps it looking elegant. It's not too heavy. It's like marble feel to it. Very fragile. I recommended this product all the way."

"Got this for my mom for mother's day 2013. The ceramic platter consists of 2 peices, the plate glued to a base. Ours seems to have been attached poorly because the plate is slightly slanted to one side.. It was noticable to me on first glance when I put it on the table. The plate also came with care instructions from Redenvelope saying that it was dishwasher safe, yet printed on the ceramic base itself had "handwash only" next to the made in china sign. I'm confused. For the price I wouldn't recommend this product. 2 stars for the decent engraving and timely shipping."

"I purchased this cake plate for Mother's Day and I am extremely disappointed in the engraving. At first I thought they forgot to engrave the cake stand. After looking it over again I was able to find the inscription, but you can barely see it. After seeing it in person, I find the picture online to be misleading. The letters seem to have been darkened for the photo online. I have ordered numerous gifts from Red Envelope and this is the first one I have been disappointed in."

"I bought this for my wife who loves to bake and she loved it. It's a solid base for displaying tasty treats and the inscription is just noticeable enough to not make the stand look tacky. I wouldn't know a cake stand from an elevated plate, but it made a very successful birthday present."

"Stand was very good quality and script was well etched. I used this item to put new cookies on display in my bakery and customers awed the stand near as much as they did the fresh baked goodies! The only thing I would like see to upgrade the product would be for it to rotate! Then designs on my baked products could be seen from every angle without having to pick the stand up and risk someone breaking it!!!"

"I ordered this cake stand and it came on time as promised. The engraving is hard to see as others have mentioned. It's noticeable if you are looking for the engraving just not as distinct as shown in the images. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase."
