"I received this as a gift and I'm rating it two stars because: 1- It is very expensive for the amount of seed it provides 2- I am most disappointed with it's design. IF it had been designed to be both a bird seed feeder AND a bird house when all the seed were gone, I would have rated it a five star item. Unfortunately, the depth of the house is too narrow for any bird to nest in, including the tiny House Wren and the hole is too big as well. 3- As others stated, the seed falls off in shipment and washes off in the rain, but if the side walls were the same width as the roof it would be a functional house that could be mounted in any number of ways and that would justify the cost."

"...but as soon as the birds get at it, in a VERY short time it looks like garbage. Suddenly, it's not something you want hanging in your yard anymore. Therefore, it's not worth the price for such a short lifespan."

"This looks nice enough but a number of the seeds fell off in the shipping and the house attracts pigeons which are way too big for this small house and they knock the seeds on the ground and make a mess. I should have known this would happen but I guess I was hoping it would be different and attract the smaller birds. So I would not purchase it for someone else nor another for myself."

"I bought two of these very cute bird houses ..They are a charm ..I bought them as gifts and they were well received. One was for my husband so I got to enjoy it as well...
