FEATURED REVIEW
Underwhelmed January 07, 2014
"I haven't tried all of the food yet, so take this review with a grain of salt. My biggest issue is with the presentation. I get that it's food and it needs to be packaged in a way that will preserve it and keep it safe for shipping, but my initial reaction when I opened it was "cheap" and definitely "not worth the money." In hindsight, I wish I had cut off the plastic wrap and swapped out the basket and just rearranged and repackaged everything before gifting it, but the total cost by that time would've been pushing $100 which is just outrageous. I think you're better off making one homemade recipe (that includes beer) or buying a few things at your local specialty market and creating your own basket. Being a crafty person myself, I was embarrassed to give this as a gift, even though it was just for my husband. With that being said, I did enjoy the toffee and the popcorn is ok - a bit unique with the choice of spices. Next we plan to try the salami with the mustard. Stonewall Kitchen typically makes quality products. Although I haven't tried the crackers or nuts, I'm sure they will be "fine" - I don't expect them to blow me away. All in all, I would not recommend this for the price."
