"I bought this for my daughter who just rec'd a Gen 5 iPod Nano. The unit was not compatible because the headphone jack is on the opposite side of the player than the Gen 4. The only way to have made it fit was to put it in backwards. If you do that, you lose the ability to select music.
I tried to put my other daughter's Gen 4 player in. It did fit, but you had to adjust the unit that plugs in to the iPod's headphone jack. Once I did that, and closed the case, the place where you control the iPod did not line up with the space provided on the waterproof unit. So, again, no way to control the music selection.
Don't get me wrong. This would be a great product for the earlier nanos, but it is not compatible with all iPod Nanos as advertised."
