Our indoor Gardenia Bonsai makes a beautiful addition to any sunny room. These bonsai will flower intermittently throughout the year, perfuming your home with the gardenia's legendary fragrance. Gift arrives in a glazed ceramic bonsai pot (colors may vary) and stands about 8-9 inches overall. For optimal humidity, a bonsai humidity tray may be added. Bonsai will not bloom year-round; bonsai may arrive in a non-blooming stage September to April. Care instructions are included.
  • One 4-year-old Gardenia Bonsai, approximately 6-8 inches high
  • May-August delivers with flowering buds, other months may not arrive blooming
  • 8 inch long x 3.5" tall glazed bonsai pot - color may vary

"I received this plant for Mother's Day about 4 years ago. It came with quite a few buds that bloomed and I have kept it well watered and pruned it when it got leggy. It has set buds this spring and I have over 13 buds that I am waiting to open and smell up my house! I love the plant ( though it is hard to leave it with someone when you go on vacation with the instructions to water it every 3 days!) But it is well worh it to me."

"Great gift for someone who loves gardenia's or bonsai. Waiting for the spring for the buds I know will come. As far as the only improvement I could see would be to offer a basic bonsai toolkit. Its the only missing piece to this package."

"I paid twice as much for a less healthy bonsai from a local florist and it died in about 3 months. I've only had this one for about a week, so while I can't speak for it's longevity, I can say that it arrived in perfect condition and is a very sturdy and nice looking bonsai. My wife loves it. I'll be buying more plants from Red Envelope for sure."

"I bought this Bonsai in October and experienced what everyone else did. The leaves turned yellow and they all fell off with in two weeks. I have since trimmed it back and I am still waiting for it to revive. I have two other kinds of Bonsai plants from Red Envelope (for over a year) and they are doing well. I always wanted the gardenia but I was skeptical after the reviews. I plan to buy another one and see if it happens again."

"this was absolutely beautiful when it arrived, but after 3 days started yellowing and dropping leaves. after about 2 weeks, around half the leaves are dropped/yellow, despite carefully following the directions.i may call customer service about it but am not sure because i waited to let them know--hoping the plant would rally.i would not recommend it to a friend only because it seems to be hit-or-miss on its survival! it is/was a gorgeous plant and presentation, so i gave it 4 stars. if someone is already caring for bonsai, maybe they know tricks to keep it from getting dead. glad i didn't give it to my mother, which i had initially planned to do. oy!(after re-reading this, i decided to call cust. service. they have always been excellent and may take pity on me and my little planty)"
