so upset! June 17, 2013
"Was given this gift for mother's day my husband let me pick out and I choose this one over numerous others online. When I received it the frame is not up to standards one of my corners is coming apart and the wood itself isn't strait it seems the wood is bowed! This is suppose to be a long time Very special keepsake and for what we paid for it, I'm furious! I gave two stars ONLY because the material to do prints is great stuff and I paid extra for personalized plate with my son's name and it looks nice. I will be returning the frame in hopes of getting one in much better shape!"

good baby keepsake June 14, 2013
"overall i like this baby keepsake. the two things that could be improved are how it is hung and the foam. the two small hooks are not easy to align and hang, a single bracket at the top of the frame would be much easier. the foam that comes in the kit is awful to use and doesn't show the kids hand or foot prints well. i throw it out and buy crayola's modeling magic."

So sweet June 11, 2013
"My husband gave this to me for my first Mother's Day when our first was a baby. We ordered one for our new baby, too. I love looking at their tiny hand and foot prints. These kiddos grow so fast! Doing the imprints was very easy!"

Poor Quality Clay June 11, 2013
"I read other negative reviews before purchasing, but I didn't have problems 3 years ago, when I purchased this to hold my first son's prints. They must have changed the clay/putty in the meantime. It's impossible to get/keep a print with this stuff. Another reviewer hit the nail on the head: it's like a marshmallow. As soon as we pull the hand/foot out of the clay, it starts reforming itself, undoing the print. Worthless. It's a shame, because the frame itself is nice. But since the real point of the frame is to hold prints, there's no way I could recommend that someone spend the ridiculous amount they're asking, for what's essentially a lemon."

Great gift! June 04, 2013
"I received one of these from my friend when she asked me to be the godmother of her baby. I loved it so much I bought one for my own mom when I had my first baby. Two things to look out for... 1) Make sure to kneed the foam very well before you imprint your baby's hand/foot. If not the imprint will puff out/fade out out before the foam dries. 2) The double-sided tape doesn't hold very well. You make need to use a stronger adhesive to ensure the foam stays in place once it is dry. Also, give yourself 2-3 days of putting it together and allowing it to dry if you are gifting. Take extra care with the instructions and you won't be disappointed. Great gift!"

Underwhelmed May 29, 2013
"Though the frame is lovely, the prints do not work. We tried multiple times to get the prints to work and each time the material expanded back to its starting shape, making the hand/foot prints disappear. Would not recommend."

Beautiful gift but white putty inconsistent May 26, 2013
"I have purchased this item several times and have always loved it, but this last time the white impression material was more difficult to use, and even though I followed the directions exactly the same way as always, it was lumpy and didn't hold the hand and foot impression the way it did for my other 2 kids, or for the 2 I got as gifts for friends. I was disappointed, because otherwise the frame, matting and everything else is GORGEOUS! It makes a fabulous gift and the custom nameplate is really high-quality and nice. I wish there was a way to get more of the white impression material to try again!"

nice gift May 25, 2013
"purchased this for my mother shortly after the birth of my daughter, and would recommend it. my only issue is that the clay never really dried in the time frame specified, and it was rather difficult to stick the hand and footprints onto the mat."

Imprints didn't work well May 20, 2013
"The imprint material was very spongy and didn't work well. it was difficult to roll flat and the impression didn't last. It was almost like trying to leave a hand print in a marshmallow - it just bounced back. I didn't have any issues with the imprint material sticking as others have reported. I like the idea, however. The frame looks nice and it's super easy to assemble. I went to the craft store and bought some modeling clay & plaster of paris to try instead. For the cost I expected the hand & foot impressions to work better."

Clay doesn't work May 20, 2013
"I almost rated this a 2 because the frame that comes with it is really nice, but where 90% of this gift fails is with the clay imprint material it comes with. It simply does not work, I tried roughly 15 times to get imprints of both my sons feet and hands, and no matter how many times i rolled out the clay, no matter the thickness, no matter how HARD I pushed his little feet into it, the material would just slowly swell back up. Each time we made an imprint, easily within 5min the imprint was virtually gone or to the point where you couldn't tell what it was. It's like trying to make an imprint in a marshmallow. It's a great idea, and the clay is definitely mess-free, but whatever it's made out of is seems to have to much air in it? Basically I bought a really expensive picture frame, and went to a craft store and bought a real imprint kit to do the impressions. As I said, really nice frame, but the imprint clay is completely worthless. Cannot recommend anyone to buy this. A three frame picture frame and an imprint kit from a craft store runs cheaper then this kit, I'm sorry to say."

A Lasting Memory This product was the most talked about gift at my granddaughter's baby shower. I wish I could have had such a great gift when I was her age, having a first baby. I would strongly recommend this to anyone.
