"I used this as a little anniversary surprise for my spouse. This item is as described on the Red Envelope website and makes a great impact on the recipient because of the way it is attractively boxed, the size and flavor of the individual strawberries and the appearance/design of the chocolate coating. The strawberries were fresh and they had been packaged well for shipment to ensure freshness upon delivery. Moreover, they were delivered on time the next morning (overnight, 1-day shipping). The only issue I will note is that some of them were not the ripest - probably because they were picked a little early. They were more white than red inside and not as sweet as they could be if allowed to ripen to maturity prior to harvesting. However, compared to most store-bought or generically available strawberries, these strawberries were of superior grade. Presumedly, they are picked slightly early to ensure freshness upon delivery and that is why they were the way they were. I'm not sure how the vendor can resolve this quandry. I do consider this item fair value for money and it makes a nice impression. Once you receive this item I suggest that the strawberries be refrigerated and consumed within 3-6 days."
